How to find Muisti

Visiting address

Ristimäenkatu 4
50100
Mikkeli

Arriving to Muisti by car

Muisti has a parking lot reserved for visitors outside of the building. This includes disabled parking spaces. There are also free parking spaces along Ristimäenkatu and Vuorikatu with a parking disc required. Even so, the number of parking spaces is limited, and we recommend that visitors leave their cars to Toriparkki (Hallituskatu 1 B). Toriparkki is in the centre of Mikkeli, only a few hundred meters away from Muisti. There is also space for two buses in front of Muisti. For groups, we recommend making a group reservation in advance through our website.

Arriving to Muisti by public transport

Muisti is in Mikkeli, a city in the region of South Savonia in South-East Finland, less than three hours away from Helsinki. Visiting Muisti is easy by train or by bus, as the train station and the bus station are only a ten-minute walk away from Muisti.

Accessibility

The disabled parking is located closest to the museum building. The main entrance is easily accessible, and the main door opens and closes automatically. There is an elevator next to the main entrance, with which you can access the main lobby, the ticket shop, and the exhibit floors. The exhibits have wide corridors without thresholds. Should you find something we can do to improve our accessibility, please do not hesitate to contact us.

There are accessible toilets in the main lobby, the downstairs of the Headquarters Museum and Café Rauha. It is also possible to borrow a wheelchair on request.

Visitors with disabilities may also bring one personal assistant with them free of charge.

Services

Childcare facilities

There is an accessible toilet equipped with childcare facilities next to the main lobby.
