Café Rauha
Muisti Centre of War and Peace’s café-restaurant Rauha is located in the oldest parts of the former central elementary school. Built in 1889, the building originally housed the school’s bakery, the boys’ handicrafts classroom, and the teachers’ dormitory. For the longest time, it served as the school canteen. During the wars, the Lotta Svärd organization ran a canteen in the dining hall for officers at headquarters.
At Café-Restaurant Rauha, you can enjoy lunch and café services, as well as Marskin ryyppy (Marshal’s drinks) and coffee substitutes made according to wartime recipes. The café-restaurant is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
